Weekly Principal's Message

Hello Bronco Families,

I’d like to start this week’s communication by thanking you for the support I receive from you all.  I am met with kindness and polite questions. Thank you.  You support your kids in the most amazing ways.  You have no idea how much that means. I am so grateful that I was able to join this team and am able to help serve our community in this capacity.

Please note that Wednesday, September 27th is a minimum day for MUSD.  Students are released from MMS at 12:15 pm.

I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

A note about PE clothes as the weather cools: Students can wear sweatshirts or sweatpants that aren’t part of our PE gear if needed.  They are to have their core shorts and t-shirts, but they don’t have to purchase school logo sweats. Any warm clothes will suffice.

Leadership Water Bottle Competition: All students, please bring in as many new water bottles as you can this week! (Single bottles, cases…we take it all!)  We use these waters for dances and events throughout the school year.  The winning class will receive an ice cream sundae party!

Sports Update: The Broncos officially start volleyball season today!  Game time is 4 pm at the MMS Gym and both teams will play Terrace Middle School.  All proceeds go to the MMS Athletics Department.  Adult entries are $3 and student entries are $1. There will also be a concession stand.

Golf practice has started and the first event is Monday, October 2nd at Adams Springs Golf Course.

Introduction to Martial Arts Information: Middletown Middle School hosts an Introduction to Martial Arts Class for all students. The class will be taught by Dan Tyrrell, owner of Tyrrell Martial Arts. The cost of the class is $20 and Mr. Tyrrell has offered to donate that money back to our MMS PTSO. If there is a hardship in your home and your student would like to participate, please reach out to Erin Dorman. Students may pick up permission slips in the front office at any time.

MHS Floral Club: If you would like to support the MHS FFA Floral Club, you may become a member!  The students make beautiful flower arrangements each month. I just received my first one and it was beautiful and smells amazing! Please visit the link to print your order form and join.  MHS Floral Club link https://middletownffa.com/floral-club.php

Mrs. Jessen & the MMS Drama Department are in need of parents with skills &  talents in construction and/or woodworking to help build the set for our fall play.  If you are willing and able to contribute advice, assistance, or supplies to help build the set, please contact Mrs. Jessen at joleen.jessen@middletownusd.org.
