Track and Softball Athletes need to turn in their uniforms to Mrs. Slaight by the end of the day on Friday May 17th, or you will be choosing to spend lunch with Mrs. Slaight until it is brought in. Thank you!

Dine and Donate @ St. Helena Brewery 11am-9pm to support our MMS Athletics: Call ahead is appreciated, 987-2106. 15% of all sales will go toward our athletic program! Come celebrate Mr. Dean’s birthday and support our athletic program at the same time!

Wednesday 5/22

Community Service forms for 8th grader students are due to Sam in the office by Wednesday, May 22nd! Please get them in!

MUSD policy does not allow any medication to given at school, including "over the counter" medication, without having a Physician's permission note on file.Parents should prepare for the "occasional headache, etc." by having their Student's Physician fax a note to the school if they would like the school to be able to administer medication. Notes are good for one school year.Student's are NOT allowed to carry any medication at school without permission from the School Nurse.

For ATTENDANCE, please call Teri at (707) 987-1441. Please add this number into your phone!

Attendance cannot be changed after 48 hours. Parents must provide the note, the reason, and the excuse within 48 hours of the absence and we cannot go back in after that to change a student's attendance. The state has tightened everything up and we need to make sure our data is consistent. Parent Knowledge is no longer accepted as an excused absence by the State.

ATTENTION PARENTS: As the school year comes to a close, all fees and dues need to be cleared up before the end of the school year otherwise yearbooks and report cards will be withheld and not sent up to the high school and in return, schedules will not be created for the high school. Any questions or concerns, pleases contact the Middle School Office.

If you are on the Non Privilege List during the month of April (8 or more Pride Page Marks) or lose your agenda, you will not be eligible for MMS Fun Day on the last day of school, which is a required school day.

Volleyball Camp: *Session 1 Camp will be for 2nd-5th Grades 9-11 am June 10th-13th

*Session 2 Camp will be for 6th-9th Grades 12pm- 2pm June 10th-13th. $65 per Athlete. Checks made out to Middletown High School: Attention Volleyball.For more information, please see the fliers on the MMS website.

Spring

Middletown High School Mountain Bike Team is looking for both girls and boys to join the team, no prior experience is needed. The 7th graders moving up to 8th grade can train with the high school team for the year prior to high school. We are looking for 8th graders moving up to high school to join the team! 8th GRADE INFO

Monday 5/6

The 8th GRADE DANCE will be on May 31 from 7 - 9 PM.

We need parent help with food and decorations, along with chaperones to make this event happen.

Chaperones must be cleared as volunteers with MUSD, but that's not the only way to help. Please indicate how you can help below.

We also want to put together a nostalgic photo slideshow including photos from prior school years (6th grade science camp, group photos from Elementary years,...) Please send fun group photos to cypress.dl@gmail.com.

Tuesday 5/14

Any interested 8th grade athletes interested in trying out for the High School volleyball team, please come to a meeting in Mrs. Davis' room Tuesday 5/14 at the beginning of lunch to discuss the upcoming summer camp and open gym schedule. Any questions come see Mrs. Davis!

Wednesday 5/15

Incoming 9th Grade Orientation: Wednesday, May 15th 6:30pm @ the Tallman Gym

Please make plans to attend the 9th Grade Orientation for your 8th Grade student. This will be an opportunity to receive information for you and your student on what to expect from Middletown High School.

Also Save the Date:Tuesday, August 6th for Welcome Back Day for your 9th Grader! 8am - 3pm

Thursday 5/16

8th grade girls with any interest in playing high school basketball next school year, please attend a mandatory meeting during lunch in Ms. August’s room (Room 2) at 12:15 on Thursday, May 16th.

Wednesday 5/22

Community Service forms are available for students to pick up in the MMS office. Community Service is not required, however, we do recognize students who have served 10 or more hours at our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony at the end of the school year. If you have questions or concerns, please email Sam Dean at sam.dean@middletownusd.org. Community Service forms are DUE to Sam by Wednesday, May 22nd!
