Sat April 29 is a tournament Fort Bragg. We play at 9:00 against Covelo. All athletes need to be at the field in Fort Bragg at 8:00 sharp. Mrs. Slaight will hand out directions at practice today. Thank you!

8th Grade Parents: We are looking for donations of the following items for the dance, white lights, black olives, Oreos, cases of water, chocolate covered pretzels, white chocolate covered pretzels, Hershey Kisses, Hersheys Hugs, Chips. If you can help with any of these items please bring them to the Middle School office by Friday, May 5th. This will give us time to purchase what we need.
Also, if you would like to submit any pictures for the slideshow of your child please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org NO LATER than Thursday, May 11, 2017. A $5.00 donation is greatly appreciated to help with the costs of the gift, decor, and food for the night the 8th graders will remember! Money can be dropped off to Mrs. Barker.
Community Service: Community service is not required in middle school only in high school. However, if you have provided any community service while attending MMS we would like to know about it. Completing 10 or more hours of service during your MMS years you will be recognized at 8th grade promotion. Please report your hours no later than the end of April. Forms are available in the office.
Middletown Days is just around the corner. Practices are starting for Middletown Days Princess & Queen contestants. If you are interested, please contact Heather DeBerry 483-3393
Annual Spring has Sprung Race Sunday May 7th, 2017: 19 and Under for the 5K distance (3.1 miles) $15 includes shirt while supplies last, refreshments and medals awarded 3-deep each age division, Adults $30, Kids run (ages 4-9) $5 includes finishers medal. MUSD will be offering an English Language Development and Title 1 Summer program for students that attended K-8 during the 2016-2017 school year. Dates are Monday June 5th- Thursday June 29th Mon-Thurs 8am-12pm @ Minnie Cannon Elementary. Please see you child’s school office to pick up and fill out at form. 8th grade dance will be on Friday, May 19, 2017 7:00-10:00 pm. 8th grade parents there will be a meeting on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 6:00 pm in room K1 at Minnie Cannon Elementary.
MHS Cheerleading information: cheer clinics will be May 17th & 18th 3:30pm-5:30pm. All paperwork (available in our office) must be turned in before participating in any clinics, Official tryouts will take place on May 19th from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
MUSD Summer Food Program starting June 5th. Free summer meals will be available to all kids ages 18 and younger in Middletown! No fees, No registration, just show up Breakfast 7:30-9am and lunch 11:30-1pm.
MMS Perfect Attendance and the San Francisco Giants. Want to go to a SF Giants game next fall? Make sure you have perfect attendance starting the 2nd quarter, Monday October 10, 2016 – May 10, 2017.
