TONIGHT - 8th Grade Parents, the first meeting to plan the 8th grade dance & promotion decorations is @ 6pm at Minnie Cannon Room #K-1 (Mrs. Fischer's room).

Softball pictures are tomorrow, Wednesday @ 12:30 on the MMS softball field. Practice will follow from 1:00-2:30. Thursday the 30th practice will be from 12:30-2:00.
Any 8th grader who is may want to show fair animals with the FFA in September, there will be quick lunch meeting on Thursday, in Mrs. Pachie's room 40,...yes it's minimum day, but the meeting will be quick!

Jr. High & High School Rodeo is HERE in Middletown this weekend Saturday & Sunday @ Middletown Central Park.
MMS 3rd Quarter Awards Assemblies @ 1:45 in our MMS Gym: 7th Thursday April 6th & 8th Friday April 7th.
MMS Leadership Spring Dance will be Friday April 7th 7-9pm. Leadership is looking for donations of refreshments for this dance. If you can help out please let the office know, Thank you!
Community Service: Community service is not required in middle school only in high school. However, if you have provided any community service while attending MMS we would like to know about it. Completing 10 or more hours of service during your MMS years you will be recognized at 8th grade promotion. Please report your hours no later than the end of April. Forms are available in the office.

Train to ride a dirt bike (motorcycle) with some of our best local dirt track racers. Dakota Galvan is coordinating his Senior Project to not only help others learn to ride but to fundraise for fire victims. April 9, 2017 10am-4pm @ Feel Like A Pro Dirt Training Facility Kelseyville, CA. All skill levels are welcome. Bring your own bike $150, you can rent a KLX 140 $200 and $100 reserves your spot. MMS Drama will be performing a spring play "The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza," a hilarious tour through Ancient Greece led by some of the most famous and most bizarre Greek mythological characters. Mark your calendars to come watch the play, Thursday April 20th or Friday April 21st @ 7pm in our multi-use.
Wings of Hope: One day bereavement camp for ages 5 and older Sat April 15 9am-4pm. Children with their families/caregivers who have experienced the death of a loved one are invited to participate in the fun. Activities include horse therapy, dog therapy, music and family art project. Pre-registration is required and space is limited. There is no cost for participating families. Leo Night at Mountain Lions Club meetings will be held on the 3rd Wed night @ 7pm of each month
Youth Art Contest: The Lake County Civil Grand Jury invites young people 6-18 years of age to submit original artwork for inclusion in the Grand Jury Final Report. The report will be published in the summer of 2017. Artwork should express one or more of the following themes: Rebirth & Renewal of Lake County, The Unique Cultures of Lake County or The Natural Beauty of Lake County. MHS Cheerleading information: cheer clinics will be May 17th & 18th 3:30pm-5:30pm. All paperwork (available in our office) must be turned in before participating in any clinics, Official tryouts will take place on May 19th from 3:30pm-5:30pm.
MUSD Summer Food Program starting June 5th. Free summer meals will be available to all kids ages 18 and younger in Middletown! No fees, No registration, just show up Breakfast 7:30-9am and lunch 11:30-1pm.
MMS Perfect Attendance and the San Francisco Giants. Want to go to a SF Giants game next fall? Make sure you have perfect attendance starting the 2nd quarter, Monday October 10, 2016 – May 10, 2017.

In the event of a storm-related school closure, a decision will be made by 6:00 a.m. and an auto-dialer message will be sent to all parents/guardians. You will also receive a text message and/or email. If you do not receive a message, please check your students Infinite Campus Portal and update our records as soon as possible with your correct phone number(s).You may also see any updated information on the MUSD Facebook page, as well as calling the Stormy Weather line at 987-4149. Please share this information with other parents/guardians that have students in the MUSD.
