Message from the Principal

Dear Middletown Middle School Families,

My name is Nikki Sabatier and I am pleased to introduce myself as Middletown Middle School Principal. Thank you to the staff of Middletown Unified for welcoming me to the district.  I am honored and excited to join the Middletown Middle School family!

I am a local educator. I grew up in Lake County and have lived here for more than 25 years. I have served as an educational leader the last several years in the Konocti Unified School District as a teacher, instructional coach, and administrator.

I am dedicated to education and look forward to our journey together as middle school educators! Our yearlong goal is to increase student achievement. The metric used to assess our success as learners is the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) test scores.  We strive for all of our students to meet grade level standards, however, we will focus on growth this year.

Middletown Middle School has had the great honor of being a distinguished school four times: 2001, 1994, 1992, and 2009. We once again will strive to be leaders of academic achievement at Middletown Middle School. We will need to show outstanding student performance on our academic indicators in English language arts and math. We must meet this rigorous criteria in order to be honored for this award again. We are up for the challenge!

We need your help! Please be sure students attends school each day. Please be to school on time! School starts promptly at 8:05. We can only provide high quality education to students if students are present.

Incoming 7th grade orientation and incoming 8th grade orientation will be held before the first day of school.  I am so excited to start this new school year with you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns! Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Middletown Middle School!

Nikki Sabatier, Principal
