Message from the Principal

Hello MMS Families,

I would like to thank everyone for a great year. It was not always easy but our students worked hard and they accomplished a lot. I was very proud of our staff, students, and parents for the strides that we made throughout the school year. I was pleased with the effort that our students put forth during our CAASPP testing in May. The early preliminary results look good and we made progress in three out of four test sections.  Our End-of-Year field trips were engaging and successful! The seventh grade students had a great time at Bothe State Park in St. Helena and their behavior and engagement was stellar. The same can be said for our eighth grade field trip to the Middletown Arts Center. It was a great opportunity to not only learn about local art and artists, but create some artwork for themselves. Thanks to all the parents that organized the Promotion Dance; the kids had a great time and conducted themselves with maturity and class. The parents really spoiled them this year and it was a great event. This year, we had our largest track team at MMS. It was a very successful season and our track athletes received many ribbons. We are so thankful for our track coaches, Cia Dedmon and Katy August; we appreciate all their dedication and commitment to our students. Promotion went off smoothly and I look forward to watching the class of 2022 during their journey through high school. Hope everyone has a great summer break and do not forget to read! We will see the 7th graders, now 8th graders in August and welcome the new incoming 7th grade class for Orientation. Incoming 7th grade orientation will be held Wednesday, August 15th @ 5:30PM, and incoming 8th grade orientation will be held Thursday, August 16th @ 5:30PM.

Class of 2022... It's been a pleasure to be your Principal at MMS,

        Mr. Tucker
